Today BlueNRGY Group, the parent company of solar asset management provider Draker, announced the “formalization and expansion” of Draker’s cooperation with energy management company Inaccess.
A press release by Draker mentions that BlueNRGY has acquired an equity stake in Inaccess, and additionally the companies are merging executive functions. Inacess CEO Christos Georgopoulos will become CEO of Draker.
In terms of operational collaboration, the release states that the companies will “further explore integrating their monitoring software platforms and organizations”.
“The customer service capability of the Draker team and increased access to asset owners in North America, will accelerate the market penetration of the Inaccess utility-scale monitoring and control technologies,” stated Inaccess CEO Georgopoulos. “Concurrently, Draker will immediately gain new distribution channels for its industry-leading DAS systems and its robust monitoring and analytics tools.”
Georgopoulos also notes that the integration of the two companies will not impact customer software interfaces as this time. “While we have begun to identify ways to combine the best features of both the Inaccess and Draker software, existing customers of each company will continue to have access to their data through the familiar portals and interfaces,” declared Georgopoulos.
BlueNRGY also noted the “geographically complementary” nature of the two companies’ portfolios, and estimates that when backlog projects in the two companies’ portfolios are finished in 2016 the combined solar generation capacity monitored and managed will reach more than 6 GW in four continents.
